Resumo: Reinaldo Ferreira, a.k.a. Reporter X, was an unprecedented case of sucessful journalism during the period of the First Republic in Portugal. Although many of his reports were adorned with elements derived from his imagination, it was defi nitely this creative originality that captivated his readers. As a man of letters connected to the Futurist Movement, he achieved success in crime writing, in theater and in fi lm as well as in Futurist fi ctionalized reporting.; Reinaldo Ferreira ou o Repórter X foi, durante o tempo da nossa Primeira República, um caso inédito de jornalismo de sucesso. Muito embora as suas reportagens fossem adornadas com elementos retirados da sua imaginação, era essa sua original criatividade que cativava defi nitivamente os leitores. Homem de letras, ligado ao movimento futurista, distinguiu-se na novela policial, em peças de teatro e cinema e na fi ccionada reportagem futurista.
