This paper deals with the theme of ‘translatio studiorum in spatio’,
thus proposing a shift from a history of philosophy to a geography of philosophy.
This is then applied to two authors (Orosius and Martin of Braga) and to three
subjects: tolerance (mainly Llull), contingency (mainly Ibn Sina) and incoherence
(mainly Averroes).
