O paradigma formativo do arquivista em Portugal

- Resumo
- The aim of this article is to make a historical synopsis of the Archivist training in Portugal and the necessary competencies for their performance in the twenty-first century, in particular the potential of professional file management information in Organizations. It presents the results of an evaluation carried out by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education in the scientific area of Information Science. It points out the importance of the participation of the archivist in knowledge production and in social, economic, political, historic and administrative development of public and private institutions is also pointed out. Finally, the humanistic training of that professional is highlighted.
- O objetivo principal deste artigo é o de fazer uma sinopse histórica da formação de Arquivista em Portugal e das competências necessárias para o seu desempenho no século XXI, em particular o potencial do profissional de arquivos na gestão da Informação nas Organizações. Apresentam-se os resultados da avaliação efetuada pela Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior na área científica da Ciência da Informação. Assinala-se a importância da participação do arquivista na produção do conhecimento e no desenvolvimento socioeconómico, político, histórico e administrativo das instituições públicas e privadas. Destaca-se a formação humanística desse profissional.
