In this article we report two cases of interpersonal violence collected in
northern Italy and dated from the medieval period. Both individuals still had a portion
of the assault weapon placed in situ. The anthropological study of these skeletal
remains allowed the reconstruction of the aggressive attack and the establishment
of a probable cause of death.
No presente artigo descrevem‑se dois casos de violência interpessoal, cronologicamente
enquadráveis no período medievo e provenientes da Itália setentrional.
Ambos os indivíduos continham um fragmento da arma agressora ainda in situ.
O estudo antropológico destes remanescentes esqueléticos permitiu a reconstrução
da dinâmica da agressão e o estabelecimento da sua provável causa de morte.
